Jews live in the historic Czech lands more than a thousand years.They created many places in Bohemia and Moravia, their cultural influence was great, which can be seen almost throughout the Czech Republic.

Most important sites

Until today exist there are hundrets of Jewish cemetaries, 200 synagogues, which in Brno and Prague (Old-New and Jubilee) are still used until today for worships. There are Jewish quarters, the best preserved in Třebíč which is in the UNESCO world heritage.

Jewish culture isn´t only represented by buildings. Since 1906 has originated the Jewish Museum in Prague, where you can see books, manuscripts and art objects. In Terezin fortress is the permanent exhibition of the of the Ghetto Museum.
